A highly misguided attempt at a highly misguided attempt

The Proto Chessmaster (Proto for short) is a replica of John Flansburgh's Mojo Chessmaster
(the proto version, as the name suggests) that I built mostly for kicks and giggles.

Like the original, mine was constructed from cardboard and duct tape (but lacks the foam core)

Most of this was trial and error but I managed to stuff the whole thing into a flat box (like the one a record is shipped in) and cut the guitar out. Duct taping the sides allows the shell to stay in place. Lacking the foam core, the shell can be removed if needed.

As I am right-handed, my version is a right-handed S101 Guitars Single Coil Stratocaster.

I do have plans to rebuild it with a wood body. However, those plans will more than likely fall through and never see the light of day.
